I'm about to begin my junior year at the Univeristy of Georgia and I am studying Spanish and Child and Family Development. I have two very broad majors because I do not know what direction I would like to head after college. I have a variety of interests and have yet to discover what I am truly passionate about, so in the mean time I'll keep learning about the things that I love and see where that takes me.
To go along with my diverse interests, I have a variety of activities that I am involved in. I am the Vice President of a peer education group on campus known as Advocating Safe Alternatives for Peers (ASAP), which focuses on alcohol education and prevention. To pay the bills I work at Chick-fil-A at Beechwood, which I love because I believe that Chick-fil-A is a wonderful company with a strong set of values. I teach ballet to middle school girls, which is great because I get to combine two of my passions: adolescents and dance. Sound like a lot? If you would like to take a look at my resume click here.
When I'm not studying, working with ASAP, dancing, or taking orders at the Chick-fil-a drive thru I choose to spend my time with my amazing friends and family. My older sister is my best friend, and she is getting married in October. Our family is growing, which is really exciting, but I already have a wonderful supportive older brother and sister-in-law whom I adore! One of the reasons I love college is because I have two fabulous groups of girlfriends who make my life so enjoyable! I met them all my freshman year, and that was a great start to my college experience.
Here's my family out to dinner for my birthday, except that all you can see of my Dad are his hands in the corner!
Last summer I was counselor at Camp WinShape for Girls, which is a branch of the WinShape Foundation started by Chick-fil-a. This is a picture of some of my best friends who came to camp with me, and a few friends we made while we were there!
